After having two adorable boys, my friend, Kim, finally had her girl. Her boys are really so delightful that I wouldn’t have minded a third Underwood boy, but I know Kim had her heart set on a child who could wear pink, so I (we) were very happy for her when Maggie arrived.
I couldn’t decide what to make for her … something knitted, or something sewn? After looking through a ton of knitting patterns, I went to JoAnne’s and sat for an hour looking through sewing patterns. The moment I saw this one, I knew Maggie needed a cape.
I love this fleece. Not only is it very cuddly, the print had a kind of retro, hippie-feel to it.
First time I ever made tassels or pompoms out of fleece. I was skeptical going in, but I liked how they turned out.
I tried to get a good picture of the finished cape, but it just looked so … flat. But I had a teddy bear in my office–a very cute “knitting” bear that my sister, Nancy, gave me a few years ago. I’m sure this will look much better on Maggie …
Now I just have to get rid of this cough so I can see that baby.

This is great! Do you have a pattern #. This would be wonderful for my new/about to be born granddaughter. Pat
