A buncha-buncha years ago, a friend from work told me about a tradition she was doing with her grandkids. As a grandma myself, I was all ears. Dyann described the big advent calendar she’d made out of a 24-pocket shoe organizer, then told me about how she sent gift boxes full of stocking stuffers to her out-of-state daughters so they could fill her advent calendar with them on December 1. Lucky me, my grandkids are only 15 minutes away, so I wouldn’t have to do any shipping. Just a lot of shopping. 🙂
Since that time, this tradition has become one of our favorites. I think you’d love it too, if you’re a mom or grandma. Or course, you could also do this for your honey. You’re the boss!
All you need is one 24-pocket shoe organizer (per recipient), some cardstock and name stickers, and an afternoon. That will get you up and running, and then you just shop for stocking stuffers, wrap it up, and fill your pockets. I promise–your kids/grandkids/loved ones will be delighted.
