Crock Pot (or Not) Pork Tomatillo Stew

Yum.

But enough chitchat. Here’s the recipe:

You know those plastic produce bags you bring home from the store? I save those for occasions like this. It’s nice to dredge meat in those bags, because it’s so easy to just mix the dry ingredients in the bag, pop the pieces of meat in, and give it a little shake.

photo (33)I bought about ten nice-sized tomatillos but only used seven of them. I’ll find a use for those other three.

When it’s all said and done, serve over rice and garnish with sour cream and chopped cilantro.

photo (32)Dave loved this. I know that because he ate two helpings, mentioned it three times during the night, and called it “restaurant quality.” That’s enough for me. 🙂
