Oh, boy. I just saw how long it has been since I last posted. I should be disciplined.
What has distracted me so? Well, let’s see. I started in real estate, and … I started in real estate. That should say it all. Nothing has been as whirlwindy in as long as I can remember. I love everything about this new adventure–I love my coworkers, I love my workplace, my managing broker, my office admin and receptionist … and I especially love my clients. It is SO fun to have people to take care of. I didn’t know it could possibly be this rewarding.
After 18 months of not making my own laundry soap, not working in the garden, not sewing, hardly knitting, not even thinking about quilting, and almost never pining over untested recipes, I’ve decided I can’t continue ignoring that part of myself. So lately I’ve been scouring Pinterest each night until I can barely keep my eyes open. I’m rapidly moving back toward Veganism, which means new thoughts, new motivations, and new recipes.
Hopefully I’ll post a few soon. 🙂

I have been looking at your post on rag quilts! I’m a newbie! But I am making one for my niece and nephews for Christmas with my stash of fabric. I love the idea of a one inch seam… is there any way you can tell me the finished size of your couch sized one?

Hello! I’m sorry for the delay–I’m in the process of migrating my site to a new theme, and it’s taken every brain cell I possess. Lol! I’m still not there, unfortunately.
When I made the quilt for the couch, I used a 1/2″ seam, and the quilt is 11 squares by 14, so that would be 55″ by 90″. If you’re going to use a 1″ seam, just multiply the number of squares across by 4″, and the number of squares down by 4″, and that will tell you how big it will be when you’re finished. Hope that helps! 🙂
